2024 Italian Business Community Tour to Jinshan, Shanghai, 13 November

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) is pleased to invite you to participate in the 2024 Italian Business Community Tour to Shanghai Jinshan, taking place on November 13th, 2024, in Jinshan, Shanghai.

This event is organized by CICC in collaboration with the Shanghai Bay Area High-tech Zone. The initiative aims to provide companies with valuable insights into the business opportunities available between the Italian community and Shanghai Jinshan, as well as facilitate connections with local businesses and potential partners.

The program will feature a business promotional conference with representatives from the Shanghai Bay Area High-tech Zone, followed by visits to two companies. The first visit will be to Santoni (Shanghai) Knitting Machineries Co., Ltd., a high-tech Italian enterprise specializing in the research, development, and production of knitting machines. The second visit will be to Shanghai Everdisplay Optoelectronics Co., Ltd., a Chinese company which focuses on the research, development, production, and sales of high-resolution AMOLED semiconductor display panels.

Additionally, a special lunch will be held at Jinshanzui Fishing Village during the tour.

About the Shanghai Bay Area High-tech Zone

Connecting to 22 major cities at the center of the Yangtze River Delta Region, Shanghai Bay Area High-tech Zone is the advanced manufacturing base on the northern shore of Hangzhou Bay. Established in 2003, the municipal- level industrial park focuses on the manufacturing sector of Shanghai with 5km2 industrial land available for sale and about 1.5million sqm workshops for lease or sale. VISITING COMPANY INTRODUCTION

Santoni (Shanghai) Knitting Machineries Co., Ltd

Santoni S.P.A., founded in 1919 as the first manufacturer of sock machines in Italy, joined the Lonati Group, the world's most prestigious manufacturer of knitting machinery, in 1988. Santoni (Shanghai) Knitting Machinery Co., Ltd. was established on January 18, 2005, registered at No.111, Shanfu East Road, Shanyang Town, Jinshan District, Shanghai. It is a high-tech enterprise specializing in the research, development and production of knitting machines. Santoni mainly produces a series of high-end knitting machines such as seamless series knitting machines, large diameter machines and socks machines with independent intellectual property rights.

In 2013, Santoni established a professional knitting machine manufacturing park with "Santoni" as the core to create a comprehensive knitting machine supply system integrating research and development, design, manufacturing, commissioning, production, service, training and sales.

Shanghai Everdisply Optoelectronics Co., Ltd.

Shanghai Everdisply Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. was established in October 2012, focusing on the research and development, production, and sales of high-resolution AMOLED semiconductor display panels. Currently, the registered capital is 13.83 billion yuan. The company is a high-tech enterprise, a national intellectual property advantage enterprise, a "science and technology reform demonstration enterprise" of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, and a green factory demonstration unit. It has won honors and awards such as the "Shanghai Intellectual Property Innovation Award".

Everdisplay Optoelectronics is one of the earliest domestic manufacturers to achieve mass production of AMOLED. It has built two modern AMOLED production lines, the 4.5th and 6th generations. The successful completion and operation of the company's 6th generation AMOLED production line project has greatly enhanced the enterprise level of Everdisplay Optoelectronics. To better leverage the company's technological innovation and economies of scale advantages, and achieve sustainable development, Everdisplay Optoelectronics officially listed on the Science and Technology Innovation Board on May 28, 2021. The funds raised from the listing will mainly be used for the construction of the 6th generation AMOLED production line capacity expansion project, which will increase the monthly production capacity of the 6th generation AMOLED production line from 30,000 large boards to 45,000 large boards. This project is a major construction project in Shanghai from 2022 to 2024.

Participation is open to both Members and Non-Members.

Price:

• CICC members: free of charge (upon approval, manufacturing and production-oriented enterprises will be priority approved)
• Non-members: 200 RMB

A complimentary shuttle bus will be organized from the Shanghai CICC office to Shanghai Bay Area High-tech Zone, departing at 8:30 am and arriving at 9:45 am. At the end of the visit, the shuttle bus will leave at 16:00 to bring participants back to Shanghai.
