The Italian Chamber of Commerce in China (CCIC), together with its Mechanical Engineering Working Group (MEWG), is pleased to invite you to its upcoming members' meeting, organized in collaboration with Porsche Consulting. The event will take place on 12 May 2026 from 15:00 to 17:00 at the Dobe WE International Hub at Bund in Shanghai. ( 上海市黄浦区九江路501号德必外滩WE902室).

China's semiconductor industry has emerged as one of the most consequential stories in global technology. In this session, Porsche Consulting will provide an in-depth overview of the current landscape of China's chip market, examining how far domestic manufacturers have progressed, where they stand in comparison to global competitors, and how localization has evolved from a strategic option to an industry imperative—reshaping global supply chains for both domestic and international players.

The discussion will also explore how the rapid growth of electric vehicles and artificial intelligence is generating new demand for advanced semiconductors, driving the next phase of development in China's semiconductor industry. The analysis will further extend to emerging trends such as data centers and humanoid robotics, which are expected to create additional momentum for demand in mechanical components and related industrial sectors.

Following the presentation, MEWG members will gather for an internal roundtable discussion dedicated to the current market outlook and business sentiment in the mechanical engineering sector in China, providing an opportunity to exchange insights, share operational experiences, and discuss key trends impacting the industry.
