The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC), in collaboration with the Foreign Affairs Office of Suzhou Municipal Government and the Consulate General of Italy in Shanghai, is organizing the 13th edition of the Suzhou Appreciation Meeting on November 26th, 2020. The event represents a valuable opportunity to celebrate the existing Sino-Italian relations and to consider future challenges and opportunities to further enhance cooperation between China and Italy.


The event is open to all the Italian companies in the Suzhou area, including both Members and Non-Members.


The event will be held at Hyatt Regency, the meeting will be followed by a lunch.

1. With the pandemic and the epidemic prevention and control policies issued by Chinese government, we would like to know if Suzhou, being the manufacturing high-ground, is to release its relevant policies accordingly? If so, what aspects will be targeted at?
2. Since last year, policies and regulations on garbage sorting have been introduced to Suzhou. How do the government comment on the household and enterprise garbage sorting management in the past one year?
3. How did the government tackle with the challenges in terms of Foreign Direct Investment in Suzhou Industrial Park, Suzhou New & Hi-tech District, and Xiangcheng District? Since the pandemic has impacted many sectors globally, how will the government implement the policies related to FDI? What are the new measures adopted locally for foreign invested companies in Suzhou?
4. Many forceful policies have been adopted to help SME resume their production and operation since the outbreak of COVID-19. Will there be more in the future
5. From January 1, 2022, foreign employees will only enjoy special additional tax deductions instead of tax exemption. What are the prospects of foreign employees in Suzhou from 2022 on?
