The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC), in collaboration with the Consulate General of Italy in Shanghai, the Italian National Tourist Board (ENIT), Italian Trade Agency (ICE), and Italian Cultural Institute (IIC) are pleased to jointly invite you to participate in the Italian National Pavilion of the 3rd Grand Canal Culture and Tourism Expo that will be held at Suzhou International Expo Centre from Sept 22th - 25th, 2021.
CICC is glad to inform you that we are now calling for application for the expo.
About the Italian Pavilion:
Area: 200 sqm in total
Price: booth rental, design, and construction are for free

About the Expo:
Co-endorsed by the Propaganda Department of Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee, the Department of Culture and Tourism of Jiangsu Provincial, the Foreign Affairs Office of Jiangsu Provincial, the Jiangsu Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the People's Government of Suzhou. The Department of Culture and Tourism of Jiangsu Province specifically leads the implementation of the Expo. The Expo will contain Canal Culture and Tourism Exhibition (including International Pavilion, e.g. Italy, Spain, Netherland, Ethiopia, Japan, Thailand, etc.), characteristic product exhibition, cultural and creative exhibition, food exhibition and intangible cultural heritage exhibition.

About the 1st Edition and the 2nd Edition:
The first expo opened on May 3rd -6th, 2019, held in Yangzhou, which has attracted 500 exhibitors from 31 countries and regions on 5 continents, 3 international organizations and nearly 40 cities inside and outside the province. The Grand Canal Talent Show, Drama Flash Show and 58 tourism promotion activities were held during the Expo.
More than 7000 pieces of cultural relics, tourism products, intangible cultural heritage projects, famous banquets and delicacies, tourism equipment and cultural and creative products were exhibited with nearly 126,000 visitors.
The second Grand Canal Culture and Tourism Expo was successfully held in Wuxi and Huai 'an on September 3rd -7th, 2020. The Expo includes night cruise on the ancient canal, the opening ceremony, themes performances, exhibition, theme forum, intangible cultural heritage sub-venue and interaction between 7 big parts, 15 key activities, attracted domestic 10 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) 37 cities, the 28 countries (regions)of more than 400 travel enterprises and institutions and nearly 3000 visitors. According to incomplete statistics, a total of nearly 100,000 people walked into the Expo site, and the online audience exceeded 200 million people.
