As regulatory scrutiny and safety expectations continue to evolve in China, Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) management has become an increasingly critical area for manufacturing companies operating in the market.

This seminar will provide a practical introduction to the HSE framework in China, covering the key concepts, regulatory foundations, and core compliance obligations that manufacturers should understand in their day-to-day operations.

Special attention will also be given to Suzhou's local safety management requirements and compliance measures, helping manufacturers better understand how to align their internal procedures with local regulatory expectations and day-to-day operational realities.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

Giovanni Pisacane

Founder & Managing Partner | GWA ASIA

Giovanni Pisacane is an Italian business lawyer specializing in international law, with over 25 years of experience in corporate and commercial law, foreign direct investment (FDI), as well as arbitration and mediation.

He is the Founder and Managing Partner of GWA ASIA, a legal, tax, and accounting advisory firm headquartered in Shanghai with offices across Asia, Europe, and North America. The firm currently supports over 200 international companies in entering and developing their business projects in Asia.

Since 2014, Giovanni has served as an Advisor and Contributor to the World Bank's Doing Business in China report. He is also an accredited arbitrator at the Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (SHIAC).

An established author, Giovanni has published extensively on Chinese law, taxation, and international investment, collaborating with major publishers such as Springer, Wolters Kluwer, and Milano Finanza.
