The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) and its Intellectual Property Working Group (IPWG) invite you to the seminar "Expansion of Chinese ecommerce abroad: the intellectual property perspective. A Dialogue with Claudio Bergonzi, Global Anti-Counterfeiting team at Alibaba Group". The event will be held on Thursday,October 30th, 2025 at 17:30 at ALLASYA LAW & IP (Room 9I, 9th floor, MOHO – 936 Shaanxi North Road, Jing'An District, Shanghai - 上海市静安区陕西北路936号MOHO办公楼9楼9I室).
Why participate?
In recent years, Chinese e-commerce platforms have steadily expanded their presence outside of China. This internationalization has brought both advantages and challenges. On the one hand, Chinese platforms offer highly efficient and cost-effective distribution of goods; on the other, this growth has sometimes highlighted shortcomings in legal compliance, particularly with respect to intellectual property. Among Asian e-commerce platforms, Alibaba stands out not only as one of the largest and longest established, but also as one of the most advanced in terms of compliance and legal responsibility. During this session, members of the IPWG will engage in a dialogue with Claudio Bergonzi to discuss the current state of IP protection across Alibaba Group's international platforms. This is a unique opportunity to gain insights directly from a leading player shaping policy and industry trends at the highest level.
