The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce is pleased to inform you that the event " Resilience in fraud risk management: prevention, detection and response "will take place on 20th June, 2023, from 14:40pm to 16:00pm at Ecological Science & Tech Hub·Eco Building 801, Suzhou Industrial Park, Suzhou.

Occupational fraud has always been a key compliance concern for companies around the world, which can be costly to businesses, including financial and reputational damage and even a threat to business continuity. According to the Occupational Fraud 2022 report published by Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), global organisations lose 5% of revenue to fraud each year.

In China, there remain serious challenges for companies to tackle conflicts of interest, commercial bribery, corporate fraud and malfeasance, especially in times of economic headwinds. While companies believe they have varied compliance frameworks and structures in place, there are gaps in implementation at different levels, detecting misbehaviour, considering continuity during investigations, and quantifying and claiming losses. How can businesses improve resilience in fraud risk management through the right strategies?

At this event, Regina Zhou, Principal at Control Risks, will share the key fraud trends to watch for, the common challenges in anti-fraud practice, and how companies can enhance internal controls and ethics processes with root cause analysis.
