2020 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Italy. In order to strengthen and promote industrial economic and trade cooperation and exchanges between Chinese and Italian enterprises to a higher level, in June this year, with the full support of the Italian Embassy in China, the office of the Organizing Committee of China International Industrial Fair and China-Italy chamber of commerce officially signed a MoU .
China is Italy's largest trading partner in Asia and Italy is China's 5th largest trading partner in EU. In recent years, economic and trade cooperation between China and Italy has been expanding continuously, and bilateral trade has developed steadily. Under this background, it is necessary for China and Italy to continuously broaden the scope of their cooperation โ corresponding to the Belt and Road Initiative, the plan of Industry 4.0, China's Internet Plus strategy and Italy's Technology Innovation plan โ to push bilateral cooperation to a new level and to enrich the connotation of Sino-Italian comprehensive strategic partnership. Italy plays a leading role in the industrial field in the world, second only to Germany.
As one of the series of activities of CIIF, one of the supporting activities of "Italian National Pavilion", the Forum will provide an effective and in-depth exchange platform for both Chinese and Italian enterprises, and lay a solid foundation for future cooperation in industrial related industries.
Italy is currently carrying out the plan of Industry 4.0 in in the current fierce market competition, where innovation is the core driving force for enterprises to survive and develop. The plan aims to enhance the competitiveness of enterprises and the whole industrial chain, especially in the three fields of smart manufacturing, new energy vehicles and innovative technology.
Representatives from Chinese and Italian government departments, industry associations and enterprises will gather at Sino Italian industry and Innovation Forum โ one of a series of activities of the 22nd China International Industrial Exposition โ which will open the door of cooperation by laying foundation for the two countries to expand more in-depth and extensive cooperation in this field, and also by building a new cooperation platform for the upgrading, innovation and strategic layout of mutually beneficial and win-win industrial development of the two countries.
