On Aug. 20, 2021, China has promulgated the Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL), which will take effect Nov. 1, 2021.


Serving as China's first comprehensive law in the personal information protection area, together with the Cybersecurity Law, and the Data Security Law, it will form an over-arching framework to govern data protection, data security and cybersecurity in China for years to come.

To better understand the new challenges posed by the PIPL, in this event, we will introduce the PIPL, and then provide real and practical examples of security measures helpful to reduce your legal risks.
