The Italian Chamber of Commerce in China (CCIC) and its Intellectual Property Working Group (IPWG) is glad to invite you to the seminar "Trademark Protection in China 2026 - Latest Trends and Reforms" to be held on Thursday, April 9th in Beijing and online via Zoom.
The end of 2025 marked a significant milestone with the publication of the new Draft Amendment to the Trademark Law—a development that has captured the attention of the IP community within China and internationally, underscoring China's central role in the global trademark landscape.
While the draft reform will be a central focus of the seminar, it is only one element of a broader transformation that has characterized China's intellectual property system and reshaped the trademark environment in recent years. Key developments include an increasing emphasis on quality within China's IP system, the continued internationalization of Chinese brands and IP strategies, stronger enforcement mechanisms and higher levels of damages in infringement cases, as well as the consolidation and growing influence of leading domestic rights holders.
These and other trends will be explored during the seminar to provide participants with practical insights into the evolving landscape of trademark protection in China and its implications for businesses and practitioners worldwide.
