The Mechanical Engineering Working Group (MEWG) of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) is working on a webinar series on different topics called "Sharing is caring: Issues for the MEWG in China", aimed at overcoming the current market difficulties due to the recent COVID restrictions.

The main objective of the webinar series is to share the experiences of companies belonging to the Mechanical Engineering Working Group operating in China, which we have divided into 7 major macro sectors:

• Components

• Machinery

• Industrial Services

• Automotive

• Manufacturing

• Electronics

• Home Applications

Sharing one's difficulties, experiences and business sentiment can also inspire other companies or be a good opportunity to receive support. The main issues and common discussion topics that we have identified are:

• Reopening of activities

• Supply Chain

• Incentives

• Block of production

• Logistic

• HR

The second webtalk of "Sharing Is Caring: Issues for the MEWG in China" will take place on May 19th, 2022 at 11:00 AM (Beijing time). "Sharing Is Caring" is the new webinar series launched by the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) together with our Mechanical Engineering Working Group (MEWG).

During this session, we will invite company executives operating in the Machinery sector to discuss the current situation and its effects on current business affairs, focusing on the issues related to the Supply Chain.

In this exclusive 1-hour virtual exchange, high-level executives will share their own experiences and provide insights into topics such as:

What is their company's current situation?

How about their transportation and logistics needs? Are they seeing delays and disruption in their transportation and logistics supply chain management in China?

How the current COVID-19 restrictions in Shanghai, Qingdao and the semi-lockdown of Suzhou negatively impacted their supply chain and consequently their business?

What are the short- and medium-term implications? Are they reconsidering their supply chain strategies?

What best-practice advice can you share? On what topics do you require advice or assistance?
