Mirko Bordiga, Managing Director of Alfa Romeo and Maserati China , is responsible for the entire bi-brand operations of Alfa Romeo and Maserati in China, with specific focus on the formulation and implementation of commercial and marketing strategy, as well as network development.
Bordiga is an industry veteran with more than 25 years of management experience across Europe and Asia, he has deep experience in building businesses in emerging markets and has over 13 years of experience at an executive level in China, the world’s biggest automotive market.
Bordiga has a strong connection with Maserati brand before, since he served as General Manager of Ferrari Maserati Cars China in 2005. In this role, he was fully responsible for the company’s operations in Mainland China and the bottom line result of the company’s local Joint Venture. He played a central role in driving sales for both Ferrari and Maserati as well as creating a strong pipeline to ensure continued profitability.
From 2008 he served as CEO of Asia-Pacific at Ducati Motor Holding, and was responsible for the region’s marketing, sales, and after sales strategies. Under his leadership, Ducati Motor Holding achieved significant sales growth in key markets and successfully expanded its operations to emerging countries such as China, India, Thailand, and Vietnam.
In 2013 he joined McLaren as the Regional Director of Asia Pacific. He was responsible for the company’s business growth and profitability across the region. In this role, Bordiga managed all retailer establishments and relationships, and led a sales and marketing team at the company’s regional offices in Singapore and Tokyo, while the China regional office was being established.
Bordiga holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Bocconi University in Milan, Italy. He is Italian and speaks English and Japanese fluently.

Thus, he has had proven track record of growing organizations and markets; ample experience in sales, M&A and operations.
He is a highly accomplished strategically oriented leader with considerable experience in managing the operations of complex enterprises in emerging markets and dynamic environments. He has also demonstrated capacity to manage turnarounds and implement change through lean and a culture of accountability.
Mr. Biagini has superb automotive expertise with a demonstrated ability to develop global organizations and processes. He has not only had excellent technical skills combined with problem solving abilities and a capacity to focus on the big picture but also with recognized communication and networking skills to enable the accomplishment of business objectives through key relationships.
He has held a Master degree in Electronic Engineering Bologna University and is a member of Specialization in Mechanics at Bologna University. He is also a member of the Sino-Italian Board of Tongji University, Shanghai.
Mr. Biagini has received Shanghai Magnolia Award in 2012 & ICS Excellent Expat Award in 2016.
