In October 2014, during Chinese President Li Keqiang`s visit in Italy, the two governments signed the “comprehensive memorandum on the joined creation of the China-Italy Ecological Park”, in which both sides committed to provide support to the “China-Italy Ecological Park” in Hai`an.
This is the sixth international cooperation ecological park. Both the countries expressed their acceptance of the principles of “guiding government to create a bridge for companies, in order to liven up the market and take mutual advantage”. They also committed to make Hai`an China-Italy Ecological Park a point of reference in topics such as energy saving and low-carbon emission development.
Today, the park has already implemented 15 projects, and is negotiating 10 more projects. Six industries are particularly linked to Italy: precision machinery, textile and silk, high quality furniture, energy saving, modern agriculture, food industry.
